Comparing this to its predecessor would be nonsensical -- they're so radically different. But Halo Wars 2 holds its own. It's a smart reimagining of the franchise with a focus on a deeper resource management system and counter-unit strategies. This is also one of the few times I thought the season pass/ultimate edition was worth it. I know fifteen years ago the DLC would've been included in the base game, but this is where we are these days.
