The "king" for each side is Helios, the sun god, and nine other pieces on each side represent the planets and the gods they are named after. Three other pieces on each side represent Earth's Moon and its orbital nodes. The pieces have movement powers reminiscent of those of chess pieces, but with some differences: several pieces have more than one way to move, one mode of movement.
