Painkiller: Resurrection is a first-person shooter based upon Painkiller and Painkiller: Overdose but is not a sequel to either. It rehashes the familiar theme with a new protagonist, updated graphics, and improved special effects. You take the role of William "Wild Bill" Sherman, a Black Ops specialist and former CIA agent.
