Panzer Dragoon is a 1995 rail shooter video game for the Sega Saturn, published by Sega and developed by Sega's Team Andromeda studio. It is the first game in the Panzer Dragoon series. The game follows hunter Keil Fluge, who becomes the rider of a powerful dragon. Never got the chance to play Panzer Dragoon back in the day. Having finally gotten around to it, I kinda regret that now. This would've really fired my imagination as a kid. It's a tough-as-nails rail shooter that's elevated by its art direction and mysterious, stripped-down story that suggests a larger, weirder world at the edges. My only issues were that aiming can get a little awkward with the d-pad, and the game is extremely stingy about giving continues. Still enjoyed it a lot.
