Resident Evil HD Remaster

A total visual rehaul and a generous array of difficulty modes (ranging from "very easy" to various extra challenge modes) make this a more enticing way to experience the original overall. I do wish they'd kept the old acting and translation; the transition from "amusingly awkward" to "blandly competent" feels like something of a step back in entertainment value (and makes you notice just how scant and abrupt the cutscenes actually are).

Stopped playing. Has good atmosphere, but wonkey controls. Requires a guide to play through else you backtrack to death. I remember being fustrated with the game mechanics and such.

love the visual improvements. hate the new cutscenes. where's the jill sandwich when you need it?
