We're excited to announce the completion of a big set of bugs and issues! Thanks to everyone who's taken the time to report bugs (using our new Report a Bug functionality). And if we haven't gotten to a bug you submitted yet, don't worry! We will!
Here are the new fixes, already released into the wild!
Similar Titles Generation seems to be bugged - There was a bug when generating similar titles, especially visible for newer titles, that was matching directors to seemingly random films. This has been corrected and should no longer be occuring.
Similar Titles can't be opened in a new tab - A great suggestion for the Similar Titles -- Criticker now allows people to hold down cmd/ctrl to open similar films in new tabs.
Search Feature for Bugs list - Not super necessary now, as we still have relatively few open bugs, but eventually this is going to be important
Menu link should go first to bugs list - The menu link now goes directly to the bugs list, rather than the report a bug form.
Able to view new bugs from someone else - Before, we were only displaying bugs in status "Open" to the public. However, in order to cut down on duplicates, and in the spirit of transparency, we're now also showing bugs in other states, like "New" or "Feedback".
Feature Requests via Bug Form - We now allow people to submit Feature Requests by clicking a toggle. Please note that these won't be entered in a publicly viewable list, but they are submitted to our Feature Requests database.
Line breaks not working in profile Bio - If you type your bio with line breaks, we now display them properly on your profile!
Forum Closure - As announced a couple weeks ago, we've now closed the forum to further posts. We encourage everyone to use the Report a Bug form, to alert us to new issues.
Adjust Pagination Limits - We were improperly limiting pagination for ratings lists and collections, for anyone not signed into Criticker. Those limits have been lifted
When trying to rate with invalid input - We now show a proper error when someone tries to leave an invalid rating (like "101")
Image Size Problem - this was a problem on mobile devices, with mismatched image sizes on the "Create Your Own" recommendation functionality.
Submit on empty poster upload - When submitting new posters to titles, was possible to hit "return" before attaching the poster. We made this a bit smoother
