"Phantoms" (1998) maybe? I remember part of the film taking place in an abandoned police station at night. I wish I could make out the name of the police station on the window.

I'm going to randomly guess Slither as I remember there being a police station with a layout sort of similar to this. I don't remember if they ever are there in the dark though
