I doubt that's it, but I'm gonna throw MIB out there, 'cos that's the only movie this breed reminds me of.

Nope, not TAOFAO either.
Sorry, I probably gave the wrong impression there by identifying the breed in my last post. The pug is irrelevant in the film and is only in one very short scene. I just liked the image of the tape over it's butthole to prevent it from soiling the pavement. That's the aspect that is tonally relevant to the film rather than the dog itself.
