Bug Fixes - May 19

Post by mpowell »

This is our heaviest release of new fixes in quite some time. So as always, please let us know if the code changes result in any new issues!

Various Issues on Collections Page
A mistake in the code was resulting in a lot of errors and bad formatting on the Collections page -- things like expanding the collection using the [+] button were broken. But we've fixed this all up.

AutoComplete search is slower
We managed to make this waaaayyyy faster, by introducing a new database index.

Filmmaker List Averages in alphabetical order
We were ordering percentages as though they were characters. So 8% was "greater than" 50%, for example.

Private collections miscategorized as collaborative
Criticker had been showing all of a user's collections under the Collaborative tab, even though they might have been Public or Private.

Remove title from collection in compact view
We had already made a change, allowing people to remove a title from a collection from the Detailed view of the Collections tab. But now, users of the Compact view can do the same. Just look for the little red "x"!

Episodes counting toward filmmaker averages
Until now, we had been considering each and every individual TV Episode a filmmaker appears in, while calculating the average score. That wasn't intended, and has been corrected.

Page Numbering Duplicated
There was a weird issue here, where toward the end of a pagination sequence, we were doubling up like "... 37 | 38 | 39 | 39"

New collections should default to Public
Up until now, "Collaborative" had been the default option when creating a new collection. But it was pointed out that Public might be the better choice as a default option, and we agreed. So now it is!

Watchlist button missing on rated titles
If you want to add a title you've already rated to your watchlist, you can now do so.

Watchlist Link in Footer
The link to your watchlist in the footer was not working

HTML Export ignores mini-reviews
Due to a typo, the HTML Export of your ratings had not been including your Mini-Reviews. That's been corrected.

Title Year on Kumpel Page
Minor change here, adding the year to the names of titles on the Kumpel Page, bringing it more inline with the rest of the site.
