Somebody played Zelda 2. It takes that formula (same world map view with side-scrolling battles) but splashes a Game Boy aesthetic onto it. You go around, doing quests, fighting, talking to people... and your choices impact what happens when the 3 year time period is up. This means that there's a lot of things to do and endings to see. I like it, I won't go back over and over because I'm not that kind of player, but the freedom is nice.
