Players roll a die and move through the rooms of a fictional hospital collecting Reports. There are four different kinds: Symptom, X-Ray, Laboratory, and Spinal Tap. When a player has collected at least one of each report he may attempt to match these reports to a Diagnosis card. If they match, the player takes the Diagnosis along with the matching reports and places them in front of him. If they don't match, the diagnosis is replaced, face down, where it came from.
