I love the social sim side of the Persona games, but every other game I've played that attempts the social sim approach drops the ball badly in the writing department. These characters are so uninteresting, and I'm sick of this saccharine tone that is spread across so many indie games where everyone is just nice and friendly to each other all the time — where is the drama, the conflict, the intrigue? Watching pairs of people just get along fine is not storytelling
