I only faintly remember Fear Effect and it's not the story that I remember; it's the cinematic nature which was neat at the time. So I don't really have the nostalgia for the series while at the same time I hoped for a successful return. This isn't bad but not recommended. Cool OST, but bad voice acting, terrible cover-based shooting and AI, the tactical system is unnecessary, the story's okay. Fans may get more invested due to the love of the series, but even that's probably a hard sell.
