Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest

Has one of the most aggravatingly dumb plots in the series with some dumb looking character designs to go along with their vapid personalities, but somehow this game manages to have really solid gameplay. The map design is clever and utilizes its gimmicks in interesting ways, and it also adds a buttload of new classes and weapons to the series that adds to its depth. It's a shame Corrin is such an insufferable moron and Garon is more laughable than anything.

The writing is trash, but the game is tactically deep and with tons of elegant new mechanics and perhaps the most inventive level design of the entire series. I have tremendous respect for anyone with the patience to beat this on Hard/Classic, and no I do not count myself in that category.
