When you make a walking simulator you need to absolutely clobber the story. This doesn't really do that, but it's decent when all is said and done. It's not without its emotional depth (at the end, mostly), but there are little annoyances that put this among the greatest examples. Namely, the talking between the two is just excessive, especially when it gets in the way of the environmental storytelling. Sometimes you just need to let us explore unhindered.
