Guardians of the 'Hood

With digitized characters and beat 'em up action, this is what Pit Fighter should have been 2 years earlier. However, it's too thin on story and variety to compete with contemporaries X-Men and Simpsons arcade. Playing as 7 fighters is fun against different gangs, but there are at most 10 enemies, and the game is padded with nonsensical Pit Fighter-esque brawls between players. A novelty that has stuck in my mind, but it's not worth revisiting.
