Based on the manga's third main story arc, Stardust Crusaders, the game follows a Japanese teenager named Jotaro Kujo, who has developed a supernatural ability known as a "Stand". Approached by his grandfather, Joseph Joestar, Jotaro learns that this power is the result of the influence of the sworn enemy of the Joestar family, a vampire named Dio Brando. (wiki)

There's a lot of characters in this game that have cool gimmicks that play with FG conventions in creative ways, such as Hol Horse's guided projectile or the way hamon works with Old Joseph. The game doesn't really do anything innovative with the core mechanics aside from maybe the stands, but things like dash cancelling and dodge add a lot of dynamics to the core gameplay. A damn solid game that's hampered by questionable balance, although there is something amusing about Petshop's dominance.
