The game begins at the start of LP0003 some time after the events of Rance 4.2. Rance, accompanied as always by his faithful slave Sill Plain, has been living as the leader of a group of bandits in northern Helman after killing their previous leader as part of a job given to him by the Keith Guild. While Rance greatly enjoys the raping and pillaging, a guilt-ridden Sill believes that he is in danger of losing what remains of his conscience and genuinely becoming a villain. (Alicesoft)

Quite an odd title in the overall Rance series.This was written to be Rance's finale, but was so successful they would continue the series for decades. The gameplay is pretty similar to future titles like Sengoku Rance and BBA, but a fair deal less refined. Still, the plot of the game was a lot darker (Rance truly felt like a villain in this game) and heavier hitting than future titles.Not to mention the scale was much larger - you conquer the entire world and literally fight God himself.Badass!
