The game added a lot of new ways to open and extend combos, but I was never fond of the rock-paper-scissors counter mechanic nor am I too big on how dominating combo breakers are. Worse yet virtually every move in the game has no recovery so it became a back and forth block fest with very few moves having I-frames. The characters in this game are homogenous with everyone's combos being samey and the best characters simply being those with the best openers. Pretty shoddy all things considered.
