It is not forgetting about the almost unreachable dream in painting your pet, giving him proper equipment and earning enough money to survive. That was for few. Yet the good stuff weights more than the bad, probably out of nostalgia.

my neopets are still out there, somewhere. eternally hungry, starved for affection, completely unable to die. I'd pity them were I not forced to pity myself for my neglect; my inability to be a good father; a provider for my digital kin. I hope, someday, this site closes down, its archives wiped, my children forever removed from their misery. until they, I can only try to forget. life is about moving on -- we can't wait outside the Soup Kitchen forever.
