Three years, dozens of hours, and three story arcs later I can finally rate NieR:Reincarnation. There's no two ways about it: it's gacha through and through. The gameplay is numbers upon numbers and the amount of player input is minimal. At least the writing for the game is pretty good. Some arcs are better than others but the characters are strong and the game never truly lost me despite trying. The music is great and the presentation is fine. It's decent Taro-fare but not much more.
