Pathologic (known in Russian as Мор. Утопия) is an award winning 2005 psychological horror video game developed by the Russian studio Ice-Pick Lodge. It was published in Russia and other CIS-countries by Buka Entertainment. The game was published in the UK on 18 August 2006 by G2 Games. The game is going to be remade for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux by Ice-Pick Lodge and self-published in 2015.

Pathologic is one of those really weird yet interesting games that just sticks in your head after you play it. There is really nothing else like it.

Pathologic has a lot of gameplay issues such as weird ai pathfinding, awkward combat, and plodding pacing where you're just walking 90% of the time. But it's also one of the most engaging games on a thematic and presentation level. I've never played a game that feels so open yet claustrophobic, familiar yet otherworldly, where the horrid experience of playing the game lines up with the conceit of its setting. Everything about it is just so fascinating that it's hard to get away from it.

I honestly don't know what to think about it. I can clearly see why it has generated a cult following, but it has so many poor design choices that will make PS3's Nier look super polished in comparison.
