Ultimately a pretty decent side-scrolling shooter, not unlike you'll see in the indie scene these days or back in the NES/SNES days. The backgrounds are animated but I feel that it kind of clutters the screens so occasionally they're too busy and I got distracted/couldn't see projectiles very well, which lead to cheap deaths. Doesn't do anything that interesting with the genre but it's fun, it's a call to my gaming roots so these games generally get a pass from me unless they're dog shit.
