Namco's next big maze chase game a few months after Pac-Man. A fun and straightforward take on the genre, with a bit of influence from 70s games like Head-On and such. The big, sprawling levels and randomized flag locations make things less predictable than Pac-Man, but the radar screen keeps things manageable. Didn't gain its lovable and much-remixed theme song until the next year's sequel, New Rally-X, though there is a simpler background tune for the first game.
