Most modern but SNES styled JRPGs that hit the indie scene are short and lazy, so it was a delight to play a new one that was a legit full-sized FF6 / Chrono Trigger length game. Complete with a fresh battle system, tons of areas on the map, crafting and skill trees, relics, lots of optional end game content like a good SNES JRPG should have, superbosses, etc. Pixel art real sharp and colorful and pretty. Hints of “The Message” seeping in at the edges, but only hints and everything else great.
