I found it more addicting than RotK XI but that doesn't mean the game doesn't have some awful shortcomings. For one, it's really dumb how your officers need to be a certain rank before they can be appointed as a prefect, leaving you with a bunch of unmanned cities. Also hated how slow battles are, which becomes insanely obnoxious when you have a 30-day limit. This makes turtling in your fortresses way too effective and disincentivizes sending troops out onto the field.
