Shadow of the Colossus is a 2018 action-adventure video game developed by Bluepoint Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is a remake of the original game released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2 using ultra-high definition art assets.The developers remade the assets from the ground up, but Shadow of the Colossus retains the same gameplay from the original title aside from the introduction of a new control scheme. I mean... it's still the same game we know and love, but while it does look astonishingly beautiful, it has lost most of the more aesthetical decisions which made the original a masterpiece in the first place. The extra side-quest, while a nice tribute to the fans, does not justify a full price for what is essentially a cleaner but duller version of a cult classic. That said, if you've never palyed the game, you might ignore all the fan rambling and enjoy the remake much more.
