in DS1, tokyo really felt like it was falling apart in not-so-slow-motion. panics and riots would erupt in frightful torrents, choices were tough and organic, and the political factions were all flawed, frenzied by impending doom. this? well, this time all of planet earth needs saving, and yet, in the most predictable fashion imaginable, the world feels less dangerous. here, the cast mostly faff about in cute little bonding vignettes as they plow toward endings of little sociological import.
