Takes some big swings, and brings new ideas to the long running series, but as it stands right now,I can't recommend buying it - on PS5 at least. It crashes constantly, the UI is unfathomably bad and considering how well-adapted Civ6 was on Console, this feels like several steps backwards. On top of that, the game itself is a bit too barebones, with the otherwise fine ages system feeling amputated and the initial leader roster lackluster. In a year or two it'll be fine, I'm sure.
