Bio: Ratings explained: 100 reserved is for personal favorites, that sort of defies ranking. 85 is my normal top mark for new movies. 35 is the median of "bad". 0 is reserved for the recommendably bad.

90 T9 Alan Wake II (2023) - 29 Nov 2023
95 T10 God of War: Ragnarök (2022) - 02 Jan 2023
"Not only the best game I've played in ages, with a near perfect marriage between gameplay and story, but also one of, if not the best, use of Nordic mythology across any media, I can remember."
75 T6 Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (2017) - 25 Mar 2022
75 T6 Assassin's Creed Valhalla (2020) - 08 Sep 2021
"As a Dane I’m somewhat disappointed that the game didn’t start in Jutland with a young Eivor desperately searching for high places to climb, realizing that the tallest peak is about a hundred meters, and that is what send you on your murderous raid to England. I mean… I understand why they went with Norway (bloody mountain filled snowscape) disregarding historical accuracy, but… come on! Fine game though. A bit too RPG/stat-heavy for my taste."
75 T6 Assassin's Creed Odyssey (2018) - 15 Dec 2020
"An expansion of the previous well-balanced reboot, that crams in tons and tons of side quests and expands on the RPG lite mechanics, making it less focused, but if you're like me and only get to play once in a while, the eclectic nature of the game worked well enough. It leaned a bit too heavily into mythology and AC-lore for my likings, but a fun, sprawling adventure none the less."
50 T2 Civilization Revolution (2008) - 26 Feb 2018
"Manages to take out most of the fun of the original game in order to make it playable with a controller... good job, Firaxis."
75 T6 Assassin's Creed: Revelations (2011) - 26 Feb 2018
"Not on par with the previous two episodes, especially due to the somewhat unstructured way the narrative unfolds, but Constantinople is a beautifully realized game world, and the game does serve as a nice final chapter for Ezio, one of my all-time favorite protagonists."
85 T9 Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (2010) - 26 Feb 2018
"Picking up literally minutes after AC2 ended, this sequel, though smaller in scale, managed to improve on most gameplay aspects of the already great predecessor, and the addition of multiplayer was fresh and unique until everyone but me got ridiculously good at it."
70 T5 Assassin's Creed: Unity (2014) - 23 Feb 2018
"Though not the train wreck it's made out to be (on PS4 at least), AC:U, gorgeous and ambitious that it may be, still suffers greatly from the insane amount of side activities being an un-curated mess, and though actually really well-written, the game's lack of narrative engagement with the historically rich setting seems like a missed opportunity to say the least; something which is emphasized if you juxtapose it with string of brilliant dramatic cinematic trailers released before the game."
