Within the country of Raide, there exists a small secluded village that refuses to acknowledge the existence of those from outside world. It is known as the "Hidden Village". In that village lives the protagonist, Revya, along with their friend Danette, and other members of the Sepp race. The protagonist is infused with the soul of Gig, the narcissistic and volatile god of destruction, and is thus forced to set out on a journey to save the world from the World Eaters.

Gig is one of the most charismatic and entertaining video game characters ever. The main plot is also enjoyable, featuring many great TWEESTS that are actually pretty surprising. The post-game demon path is even greater, making you truly feel like a world-threatening monstrosity. The gameplay is also solid, featuring an interesting formation system with admittedly bland but functional map design. Disliked how making new units forced grinding, but despite that, this is among NIS' best titles.
