Not a great game by any margin, but the story has flashes of interesting stuff in it. Flashes.

Every time I start getting back into the Star Wars franchise again, I want to play The Old Republic for a good old fashioned, talent-tree'd MMO in the Star Wars universe. And every time I reinstall it I remember how EA micromanaged the very questing system to squeeze money out of you for VIP status, or whatever the hell it's called. A fun mmo, but typical EA shenanigans make me uninstall it on principle.

It's alright, the starter planets are really annoying/boring though. Tarris is just following tradition I guess. Pay to win is annoying.

[PC] Despite changing the gameplay mechanics each time a massive update came. (I got to v3), SWTOR's strength is the engaging storylines it present across its 8 classes, though some are better than others (Imperial Agent). The graphics are great, there's only a limited need to carry out group missions with strangers, and it's a convincing return to Star Wars' Old Republic since KOTOR. For a F2P game, it's pretty great.
