Koudelka (1999) - Rated 04 Sep 2026
Strong story, but the gameplay loses a bit of steam towards the end.

The Incident at Galley House (2026) - Rated 30 Aug 2026
An engaging game that suffers a bit from a lack of gameplay variety. The relatively shallow difficulty curve of that one main puzzle type makes it feel more like a visual novel at times.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin (2022) - Rated 09 Aug 2026
Odd and surprisingly fun. Basically a better Nioh, with some obvious budget constraints.

Great game.

Cryptmaster (2024) - Rated 04 Jun 2026
It's a good concept, but the game gets pretty repetitive in terms of gameplay, level design, art assets, etc. It really should have had a better quest log too. The game is still fun by virtue of being short enough that the repetition doesn't matter so much.

Heroes of the Seven Islands (2025) - Rated 23 May 2026
A very enjoyable Might-and-Magic-like. Gets a bit repetitive towards the end, but the game is short enough that it doesn't matter.

Nioh 2 (2020) - Rated 17 May 2026
Nioh 1 was enough Nioh for me. Feels far too repetitive of the first game.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion (2022) - Rated 08 May 2026
Pretty fun, just a bit repetitive.

Animal Well (2024) - Rated 02 May 2026
A gorgeous game that feels like a breath of fresh air for the metroidvania genre.

Timespinner (2018) - Rated 18 Apr 2026
I had fun with this; it's short, but I like short metroidvanias.
