Everyone knows it wants to be Nier: Automata. The action is awesome and easily the star here, but there's decent customization of both Eve's appearance and her skills. There are some quality of life problems. The soundtrack is great. The story is where it stumbles a bit and can't replicate the greatness of its biggest influence. It's FINE but hardly memorable and it's not setting Eve up as the next great VG character. If you go into this just wanting great action, you'll dig it. I certainly did.

If you have a girlfriend, playing Stellar Blade in her presence is going to introduce you to an unprecedented amount of eyerolling. No idea why, though. It's great! What a debut for such a small studio, looks, sounds and plays top tier (jumping passages excluded), a surprisingly well working blend of post-apocalyptic scifi and souls/sekiro mechanics with anime aesthetics. Of course there's already the screams of the offended, because escapism like this is all about depicting reality accurately.
