Sudden Strike

Strategy
This game offers the player the option to replay WW2 in a very realistic way. First you have to choose from three nations, then you go straight to the front lines. The game is very tactics-based, as you won't be successful by just rushing in. Many details have an effect on the gameplay: Slightly damaged bridges can be repaired, ammunition is limited, soldiers can hide in houses or jump out of planes, etc. (mobygames.com)

Easily among the most boring RTS games I've played. The game has awful UI that makes it difficult to discern what you're able to do. Movement speed is painfully slow on large maps which makes pacing of missions painful. This isn't salvaged much by mechanics, either - most of the time you're crawling across the map until you discover where the enemy artillery is so you can take it out with a sniper beforehand. This is made more infuriating than necessary by dumb ai that often gets stuck in trees.
