The novelty of a platformer structured around a board game is cool. However, they don't play off each other at all. The board game section has no real competitive goal and just makes the process of level select needlessly cumbersome. The actual platforming itself is technically polished but also very basic where there's zero momentum and the bare minimum of mechanics. It also doesn't help that the enemy design does not indicate if they can be jumped on and races are just sloppily designed.
