A bit better than the games it bases itself off. The game moves a lot faster, there's a lot of neat combos you can do with the team swap mechanic and team comps have some degree of nuance to them. On the other hand, the enemy design is no less dull than any of the DW games and maps are the usual flat barrenness that defines this series. Ultimately while it may be fun to break the game the defensive mechanics still feel awful and movement is stiff. That final battle is underwhelming too.
