70 0% No Umbrellas Allowed (2021) - Rated 14 Dec 2023
"Reminiscent of Papers, Please, this title is a great twist on the visual novel drama. Surprising replayability with over a dozen endings. The game offers a pretty decent length for what it is, but loses a little momentum as it approaches an ending. Definitely worth the price, especially if you are a fan of games like Contraband Police or Papers, Please."
100 0% Baldur's Gate 3 (2023) - Rated 14 Dec 2023
"Very seldom does a game live up to the ideal perfection within a genre. Baldur's Gate 3 does exactly that. The world feels completely alive, the story is incredibly compelling, and the characters are well rounded. Dozens of hours of side quests, exploration, and countless unique encounters leave nothing to be desired. This title truly does live up to every single promise it made during development. One of the greatest games ever made on any platform."
50 0% Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader (2023) - Rated 14 Dec 2023
"While Rogue Trader was a highly anticipated title, it's hard to feel as though it was worth the wait. Many would excuse Owlcat for what's come to be expected - a buggy, nearly unplayable release followed by stability patches. But in a post Baldur's Gate 3 world, we should expect more. Character development falls completely flat, and while the world and lore are somewhat immersive, a completely mediocre combat system and mechanically clunky gameplay overall make this experience just so-so."
70 0% The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood (2023) - Rated 14 Dec 2023
"The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is a carefree, fun and charming point and click adventure. The tarot crafting process is refreshing and unique, and adds a little depth to what is otherwise an extremely brief title. Some of the dialogue feels very forced and there are areas of the game's narrative that feel underdeveloped. Overall one of Devolver's better titles and definitely worth the price."
90 0% Final Fantasy X (2001) - Rated 14 Dec 2023
"One of the most surprisingly well balanced games of its era that remains as easily accessible to genre veterans and RPG novices alike. Almost every aspect of the game feels extremely polished with only a few exceptions, none of which affect game completion. The world is immersive and the soundtrack is a masterpiece - with some of the best character development and storytelling in any Final Fantasy title. Well worth a play through, even 20 years after its release."
80 0% Final Fantasy VIII (1999) - Rated 14 Dec 2023
"Mechanically the game is a little disjointed - junctioning is wonky and a few boss fights notwithstanding, most fights are somewhat flat. Thematically, this is possibly one of the most engrossing worlds Squaresoft ever published and its soundtrack is easily one of the greatest works of game audio ever made. Overall, some areas are a slog but the dark, abstract, and often times humorously cliche story is well worth a play through."
