Whelp. Here we are. The perfect D&D game. It does such a great job of combining tabletop realism, AAA scope, and wonderful writing.

Dropped. May revisit in the future. Good: Every NPC dialogue is voiced and good grafix. Bad: Every models looks prestine... samey doll like faces. Exploration & combat is tedious. Overwhelming amount of skills at the start, and equipment benefits are vague (Incentivize internet tutorials). Dialogue: Quantity doesnt mean quality... lots of flowery prose. A heavy dependency on dialogue for immersion. If the writing style isnt for you. Immersion is broken.

Very seldom does a game live up to the ideal perfection within a genre. Baldur's Gate 3 does exactly that. The world feels completely alive, the story is incredibly compelling, and the characters are well rounded. Dozens of hours of side quests, exploration, and countless unique encounters leave nothing to be desired. This title truly does live up to every single promise it made during development. One of the greatest games ever made on any platform.

Groundbreaking in terms of production quality, strategic diversity, environment reactivity, general attention to detail and tabletop loyalty. The over-arching story is a jumbled mess of cliches cowering behind (sometimes) good dialogue. The characters and races are cringe. The D&D ruleset hasn't improved. Build diversity is meh (partly for lack of good tactic-defining items), multiclass is a low-reward chore, and the per-rest mechanic is ruinous. Still manages to be amazing, despite its flaws.

Baldur's Gate 3 is now my favorite RPG of all time. D&D is special to me and this game delivered that the best imo. Characters and the stories are incredible, this game has made me emotional and sad to happy and ecstatic with in a short amount of time. BG3 gives a perfect blend of strategy and difficulty with a lot of new game plus motives to try every class and race. If I could play one game for the rest of my life it'll be BG3. Amazing job Larian Studios.

It's no hyperbole, it really is one of the best games ever made. The only thing holding back that final point is that it's still pretty buggy

Ultimate translation of pen & paper to the screen! Love how this game dares you to break it, though it still works a bit too often. Ample opportunity to miss out on content makes for excellent replay value. What the hell's wrong with the "character editor", though? Two body types and a couple of faces, but i can give myself an adjustable amount of vitiligo, which literally NOBODY in this game has?! How weirdly specific. Anyway, i can get people to run around butt naked, so who am i to complain?
