Really liked the story, ambience and characters.. the gameplay / controls on the other hand felt really clunky at times and definitely made me enjoy playing it less.

The Last of Us (2013) - Rated 26 Jun 2026
My favourite game of all time. Between the passionate voice acting of the protagonists (esp. Ashley Johnson), the incredible writing and setting design and the emotional soundtrack by Gustavo Santaolalla this game is a piece of art. It's a story of loss and hope, of finding something to live for, of found family. It's a story that will grip you and make you feel deeply.

Among Us (2018) - Rated 26 Jun 2026
fun to play with friends, sucks to play with strangers (most of the time). gotta give it to Among Us though.. it will always have iconic status for how it helped people socialise during the pandemic

Baldur's Gate 3 (2023) - Rated 26 Jun 2026
I bought this on a recommendation and a prayer and was pleasantly surprised, not just because my laptop ran the game without exploding (though it might've come close). A vast world with tons of things to explore. A compelling story with diverse characters. Enjoyable gameplay (if you don't like round based combat this isn't for you, boo boo). What more does one want. (Except for Larian to treat all NPC characters with the same care and develop all of them, not just the 'hot vampire'

Life is Strange 2 (2018) - Rated 26 Jun 2026
More than solid game. Really enjoyed the themes and story. (Even tho for most part it's basically 'having a feral younger sibling simulator').

Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018) - Rated 26 Jun 2026
What a masterpiece. What a story. What a protagonist. There's so much to find (and miss) in this game, it makes the world really feel alive. The detail and care put into RDR2 are incredibly impressive. From the sheer amount of animals, plants, etc to the progression and development of the world throughout the game (you can literally watch houses be built) to the writing .. truly a game crafted with passion and love.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor (2014) - Rated 26 Jun 2026
love anything Middle-earth. The setting, characters and fight mechanics were pretty well done. Big positive here is the (unfortunately patented) Nemesis system, which makes enemies remember you and thus simulates the NPCs having an agenda and personalising each play-through a bit more. Unfortunately the gameplay gets repetitive really fast.
