I'll give this game points for trying but the story still largely feels like a good video game rather than a good movie, apart from the ending, which is exceptional. Fortunately, the mechanics are pretty good and there is a lot of tension and some tender moments as well. It isn't quite all there.

Again, Naughty Dog knocks it out of the park with their visuals and storytelling. In the case of The Last of Us, the gameplay is actually compelling, unlike some of their other titles such as Uncharted. Some legitimately tense segments and heartbreaking moments make The Last of Us one of the standout titles of the decade.
