1% No Man's Sky (2017) - Rated 03 May 2018
"lol"
85 72% Far Cry 3 (2012) - Rated 03 May 2018
"A phenomenal game, both mechanically and from a story perspective, with two defining flaws; the ending is stupid, and the multiplayer should have been akin to Far Cry 4 (literally just co-op in the story)."
59 23% Heavy Rain (2010) - Rated 03 May 2018
"I'll preface by saying this: Heavy Rain is an interesting experience, marred by an ideology that seems to undermine itself. It was marketed as a murder-mystery in which every main character can die, changing the outcome of the story for that playthrough, which sounds intriguing. However what this boiled down to was playing through the game once to get the best ending, then googling the other endings because playing it again was a quick time event-filled chore."
60 27% Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011) - Rated 03 May 2018
"It's an aight game, it's just pretty boring at this point. Same old same old."
90 84% DOOM (2016) - Rated 03 May 2018
"Absolutely one of the most mechanically satisfying, visceral, adrenaline-fuelled nostalgia-reboots of all time. A game that takes cover based tactical combat, punches it in the face, and leaves it winded in the 2000's where it belongs. The storyline is almost non-existent, and that's a plus: hell's broken loose, and you're the only one angry enough to stop it. And that's all the plot device you need to slap a grenade launcher on a shotgun and raise Hell."
85 72% Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (2005) - Rated 02 May 2018
"An absolutely phenomenal sequel to Aria of Sorrow, Dawn of Sorrow improves upon the original with more powers, more monsters, a bigger map, a semi-secret end game, and a crafting system using the souls of your enemies to evolve your weapons to mythical weapons of lore. The only downside to this game in my opinion: the touch screen controls being shoehorned in via 'seals' you need to trace with your stylus as you kill a boss, or they regenerate health. Unnecessary addition to a great game."
60 27% Star Wars: The Old Republic (2011) - Rated 02 May 2018
"Every time I start getting back into the Star Wars franchise again, I want to play The Old Republic for a good old fashioned, talent-tree'd MMO in the Star Wars universe. And every time I reinstall it I remember how EA micromanaged the very questing system to squeeze money out of you for VIP status, or whatever the hell it's called. A fun mmo, but typical EA shenanigans make me uninstall it on principle."
20 6% Star Wars Battlefront (2015) - Rated 02 May 2018
85 72% Tekken 7 (2017) - Rated 02 May 2018
"Whilst this is my first introduction to fighting games, after playing Tekken 7 my perception of the genre was irrevocably altered. The amount of depth, mind games, complexity, and downright luck involved in this game is mind-boggling, and once you start learning frame data and punishes there's no going back. But, as a drawback, it takes time to get used to it. Your first couple of online matches are going to be brutal."
98 98% Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin (2015) - Rated 02 May 2018
"Honestly, just as good as the other Souls games, despite the (frankly undeserved) bashing it gets from much of the fanbase. Arguably has some of the best PvP mechanics in the franchise, despite the gimmicks that were soon patched out (mundane dagger, anyone?). The DLC zones (the Brume Tower chain and the walk down into Shulva) are absolutely breathtaking."
