As a game, a fun romp that I finished surprisingly quickly (in terms to the main storyline). As part of a franchise, a breath of fresh air that offers a new life and future to Mario, right down to the voice acting by a true successor in Kevin Afghani

I wanna be the next TotK cast member, and here's why I should be a contender. Hi Shigeru, I'm Morshu, and of course you've been feeling the heat because your game got delayed to 2023. I know you got rope and bombs but I feel I oughta be selling it, when it comes to shopkeeps you have to give me credit.

There is a specific vibe this game throws me into whenever I play it with the Grease soundtrack on full blast, like 2006, baby blue walls, the softest curtains on the planet breezing through our room, as I play this and Hopelessly Devoted To You or It's Raining On Prom Night (or some other song). It's just a vibe.

Takes me back to the colourful joy that Pokemon Go gave the world 5 years ago. It feels like listening to The Avalanches's Wildflower for the 2nd time. It feels like swimming and looking at the sky turn less blue compared to the pool tiles. I haven't played the original version so this is all I know
