3 48% | Robert E. Lee: Civil War General (1996) - Rated 18 Oct 2024
"A fine strategy game in the vein of the hexagonal miniature games like Memoir 44. Being a full CD-ROM experience from the mid 90s, it comes with educational resources, such as descriptions and photographs, to learn the history behind the scenarios."

4 76% | Lords of the Realm II (1996) - Rated 18 Oct 2024
"A formative game in my youth. I like how it balances the different aspects of strategy, from troop movement, to resource planning, to battling."

"Surprisingly fun (and frustrating), goofy game."

2 20% | Spyro the Dragon (1998) - Rated 18 Oct 2024
"I've only played it recently on the remaster, and as a grown a** man with a family, so not the target audience. But this game is incredibly boring. That said, my 4yo loves it, so there's that."

2 20% | Owlboy (2018) - Rated 18 Oct 2024
"I really wanted to like this one, but it's just bleh. I can't put my finger on it, but it's not interesting to me."

2 20% | WORLD OF HORROR (2023) - Rated 18 Oct 2024
"Points for the graphic style and game system. Demerits for being heavy handed with gross and freakout stuff. I'd much rather this kind of game have more of a psychological, atmospheric approach."

3 48% | Castle Crashers (2008) - Rated 18 Oct 2024
"Fun multiplayer bmup, like a classic turtles game. Lots of characters and unlocks for replayability. Not many modern games fill this niche so well."

3 48% | Kingdom Come: Deliverance (2018) - Rated 18 Oct 2024
"I love the idea of taking a realistic approach to a well defined genre. I also appreciate the different setting (helps that I have Czech heritage). It's really enjoyable and immersive to explore this world. However, by its very nature this makes the game a slog to play at times. And some things are still gamified. Combat is not just realistic, it's artificially difficult and frustrating. These things hold back what otherwise is a remarkable effort."

2 20% | Chicory: A Colorful Tale (2021) - Rated 18 Oct 2024
"I like the whimsical and unique premise, but the gameplay just doesn't grab me."
