Actually it's not the original Cape Fear is it? Never seen it but that looks like a houseboat and suddenly a few different boxes can be ticked if there's one in the original too

Well that's a surprise! Something just clicked out of nowhere and the guess made sense in a number of ways but I wasn't overly convinced

I'm certain this is wrong for a couple reasons, but I'll still guess They Live because it made me think of that great alley fight.

... That's because it IS that alley and I was hoping someone who loves that scene as much as I do couldn't help but recognise it!

What was putting you off out of curiosity? Couldn't make out Roddy with the box of specs in the background?

Oh man, I guess I gotta get my eyes checked! Yes, the main thing that put me off was it did not look like the person was wearing the glasses, so I thought this definitely was not it. Also, the image quality looked a little too good so I thought the movie was something a bit more recent than They Live, but that was secondary. That fight scene was so great, felt like it went on for 15 minutes but in the best possible way.
