Action/thriller films that are similar to the TV series '24'

I'm looking for action films that are similar in plot, production value and sheer intensity as the TV series '24'.

It's been years since the '24' ended and still there is no TV series with similar pacing, production value, and intensity. So I look to film instead.

Key characteristics:

Very high intensity action/suspense
Very high production value
Modern-looking effects and stunts
At least one scene of a large crowd in total panic/stampede (thousands of extras--hence high production value), and/or wide shots of total pandemonium in a public place
Fast pacing
Story focuses on a highly ambitious terrorist plot(s) such as detonating a weapon of mass destruction in a heavily populated area, kidnapping/assassinating the president of the united states and/or his/her family, taking hostages in the White House, etc
The screenplay takes itself seriously
Little or no time spent on romantic side-plots
Optional (but very much appreciated): Terrorist plot at first appears sinister yet relatively straightforward; but is later revealed to be multi-layered, painstakingly planned and downright diabolical

Vantage Point (2008)
Olympus Has Fallen (2013)

Any others?

Honourable mention for the Sum of All Fears because it manages to have constant high intensity despite not being action-packed. The terrorist plot is great in that one as well.

Well, since Olympus Has Fallen is basically the same movie as White House Down, I might suggest that.
