Armored Core 6: Fires Of Rubicon

The game gets a marginal pass because it at the very least is perfectly playable. However, I cannot recommend this game to many people. Normal levels are laughably easy and uninteresting, while boss encounters feel about as bullshit as the hardest Elden Ring bosses. The game is a customiser's wet dream, but it's hard to justify NOT equipping your mech with the biggest explosives that kill everything in 30 seconds. And, the uncharacteristically overt story is embarassingly uninteresting.

As with every FromSoftware game that I've rated, I just don't have the patience to deal with the inconsistent difficulty. But I tried this out because I wanted to try AC. And the game feels great. The combat is fluid and exciting. It's just not for me.
