Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War
The story follows a large cast of characters both (roughly) historical and original. The two most prominent characters are Edward the Black Prince, introduced campaigning for England at the beginning of the game, and Joan of Arc, who is introduced fighting for France much later. The player character, a mercenary leader in the making, fights in battles to advance the plot. (wiki)

I really like the premise of this game but this is pretty bad. For one thing, the battles are very samey and your limited control over squads is obnoxious when the AI is as dumb as it is. The RPG mechanics also invalidate the dynamics of the class structure - It's not a matter of what troops you have but whether or not they're a higher level. The strategy elements are also shallow, as you only really have 3 commands per unit with a long CD. As a result combat options are limited and boring.
