Blasphemous 2

3 weapons: Mace is slow & boring. Blade is satisfying. Daggers hit box sucks. Early game sucks ass with mace seemingly to be the most viable weapon against HP sponge enemies (A LOT) that can kill you in few hits, but it became fun once I switched to using blade later & finally the game clicked for me. Switching weapons need time to get used to for puzzle solving. Upgrading weapons & finding equips is very fun. Some long section are god awful to repeat through. Final boss cheese strat OP.

I found the original Blasphemous interesting and atmospheric if flawed with some annoying elements. However, I ultimately enjoyed it, and did finish it. This one however I kind of bounced off of and my playthrough fizzled and died. It just didn't feel like it had that subtle Metroidvania invisible hand guiding you in any way through the world; I just felt like the world spiderwebbed out aimlessly into a million frustrating dead ends, with post-death punishment making things worse.
