The game allows the player to control Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison, a Colonel in the Global Defense Force. Her career is abruptly brought to an end after an event titled "the Washington Incident", which caused her to lose her arm and her team. Bombshell is completely and utterly okay. The twin-stick--seriously, use the controller--shooting is fine and it's a fun game. The lite-RPG elements aren't fantastic as you just upgrade health, armour, etc, along with your weapons... but it's not very exciting. The main character is self-aware and cheesy, but incredibly repetitive (Duke Nukem she is not). The story doesn't matter in the least. The boss battles are kinda boring but aside from that I had a good enough time to recommend it.
